Frankfurt fair is the German largest fair organizing company and as such a big trend setter in the worlds trade market. It is a public owned organization, 60% of ownership belongs to the City of Frankfurt and 40% to the State of Hesse. More than half of the fairs take place outside of Germany. Frankfurt Fair is present in 150 countries in the world. The company is growing on a yearly basis. It employs approximately 1500 people all over the world. Frankfurt Fair has created a perfect environment for trend setting. It creates a space where supply meets the demand. There is a high competition among the producers; everybody wants to leave a good impression on the events. New technologies, innovations and procedures are presented as the attraction. Due to this, the Frankfurt Fair made it through the global financial crisis without any major effects.

Trends in the auto industry at the Frankfurt Fair


Frankfurt Fair is setting trends in auto-industry, publishing, consumer goods, technical and textile industry. In the field of food and beverages we see the trends moving towards healthy and “green”, but advertising and consumers satisfaction are still the main values in consumer goods sector. The main trend still represents an idea of relatively cheap development to achieve customers’ satisfaction. Production of supplies takes place where labour is cheap, mostly East Asia. We see more and more Asian car and technical producers, which also shows us that the Asian economies are growing. Frankfurt Fair is well aware of that. They organize numerous events in Asia, mostly in China.
